Exploratory Vivids is a Vivid course for students of all experience levels. Running a business as a Vivid Specialist can look really different from a traditional stylist. We deal with uneven canvases, compromised hair, fading and long services. This class wants to make you confident not just as a colorist, but as a complete human behind the chair. As two creative colorists with more than 10 years experience behind the chair, we can’t wait to share everything we’ve learned! We created this class with our neurodivergent friends in mind and will have an accompanying workbook to complete throughout the class to re-enforce what we’re teaching. It focuses on three major topics as a Vivid Specialist:
1. Running a successful business: Learning how to market yourself to create a clientele you love, how to make your business profitable, and how to track inventory.
2. Technical Theory about Direct Dyes: This is an unbranded class, which means we’ll be teaching to foundations based in science. That way you can take back this knowledge to work with any direct dye line you have in your salon. We will be going over common issues Vivid stylists face and how to make sure they never haunt your dreams again!
3. Hands-on color swatching to promote experimentation and getting really comfortable with the color wheel!
Class agenda:
11am to 12:30pm - Presentation
12:30 to 3pm - Live demo
This class will be taught at Belong Salon at 1633 Lincoln Ave in Orange, CA. Doors will open at 10:45 and class will begin at 11am. Class concludes at 3pm and we will stay afterwards for Q&A. We will have light snacks and beverages.
